Talking Hey PhillyBloggers =) Everyone open please.

Hey everyone. =)
This is my first time being a member at this site, so I wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. !
I also have a question, I am originally from Southwest Philly, but I moved to Indianapolis awhile ago. I go to Philly alot[maybe 6 times a year], and now I am thinking about moving back. I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any nice affordable apartments around Southwest area, and if not Southwest, anywhere in Philly, and if they could let me know. I'm an 18 year old female, can't wait to live on my own and be back in Philly. =)
Reply, or message me. Thanx people!

Default Neighborhoods

I don't know how long it's been since you lived in SW Philly, but I'd avoid that neighborhood totally. Of course you can find an "affordable" apartment there, but that's because most of SW Philly is a crime-ravaged ghetto. (Probably, the reason your family left.)

Since you're a young adult, you may want to look at University City. Although, not much in UC is "affordable" Another suggestion is South Philly, you'd be close to Center City without paying high Center City rents. Also, look into Manayunk.

Also be advised that you are in the forum for posting photos. You might want to go back and try Ask a Philly Friend or University City/ West Philly to get more responces since mostly only photograpers look here.

BTW the neighborhood called Eastwick (Lindberigh Bld & Island Av) is still not too bad and Kormansuites (1st class) has rental apartments there. It is a middle class racially mixed neighborhood with a suburban feel. Anything west of there however should be avoided by everyone except gangsters.

If you remember, bring us something from Shapiro's. It's my favorite deli in the Circle City.

What he said. This belongs in the Ask A Philly Friend section.
