i love his work, but i feel like all these threads should be named "michael penn promotion thread 1," "michael penn promotion thread 2" etc.

in all seriousness, i'm glad to see his images on here, and only wish more philly photographers would post on this board.

BTW Old Old City moved to Chelsea NYC and is handling my work up there. My girlfriend is taking care of most of the day to day work in Philadelphia.

Not meaning this in a bad way, but it doesn't look real. It looks..."painterly" - like you'd believe it was painted but not that it was photographed. Something about the slightly diffuse quality and the odd color mixture. But it's very neat.

It's a single exposure I took in the Fall. I overexposed it so I could bring out the detail in the trees. The color tone is a result of the white balance setting I used.
