Follow Pennsylvania Ave to 30th street and then you can walk down to the tracks and double back to the tunnel. If you follow the tunnel to the end you will pop out at the police station at the end of Callowhill St.

Thanks. Careful down there. One of those tunnels is still used very frequently.

I always thought they should use the dead line for a PA Ave/Ridge Ave subway line. It would serve the museums, East Fairmount Park and if Septa were rich and/or smart enough continue on all the way to Manayunk:

I've smelled it when a garbage train went thru.

That's awful. Have you ever been on the other side of these abandoned tracks and up on the Reading Viaduct? I may be heading up there again sometime in the next couple months with a small group. If interested, let me know.

Default creepy

I went down there today to to take some photos and shoot a little video. I was going to explore the one totally dark tunnel where the tracks go but got freaked out when I started hearing someone sing in there. I walked the partially lit tunnel instead, but was ready for some tripod combat if necessary.
