Great photos once again fmoore, here and in the slide show. I really do like the infrared effect, gives a new look to things we've seen numerous times (and that's not to detract from anyone else's photos of sites around Philly, many of which are outstanding).

Hey, in your slide show, did you access that railroad trestle from inside Bartram's Garden? From your photos, seemed pretty accessible. I'm itching to go out and do some shooting - photography, not firearms - and I like subject matter like that. I walk with a cane, so accessibility is key for me to get around.

Brian - Thanks for the comments. The train trestle (Gray's Ferry Trestle?) is not accessible from inside Bartram's Garden. In fact, it's pretty hard to get to the way I went and actually rather dangerous and, I suspect, illegal. Nice spot for some interesting shots though.

Oh well. Every time I see somewhere I'd like to shoot, it's behind a cyclone fence or not a very friendly place for someone with a handicap. Maybe I should develop an eye for flowers instead of decaying properties? If I had more steadiness in this body, I'd happily sign a waver allowing me onto certain sites to shoot and assume any risks involved. There are so many places in this city worth the effort.

Default Spooky and Beautiful at the same time

Great photos in the slide show. Kind of looks like if the Abomb was dropped or something, everything has that spooky look to it.

Superb photography fmoore. Is there a special infrared film to give it that pinkish hue?

Again, wonderful and might I stay stunning photographs. I believe it was your photography of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge as well?

Regards!

Thanks for the comment. Yes the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge was another. A digital camera was used for these. An infrared filter is required.
