I have recently started a new webpage:

www.photophilly.com

Essentially, I have divided the city into 234 1 square mile gridcells, and the plan is to visit each gridpoint and take a bunch of pictures, giving us a real chance to explore all of Philadelphia. In addition, we're including some of our favorite restaurants, "extras", some philly "green" options, neighborhood boundaries, and the like. Comments and suggestions are appreciated, but please remember that it's a work in progress.

I have. In fact, we already have a link (and sent a fan letter when I first saw it).

The mission of Phillyskyline is a bit different from ours, however. They have some very nice tours of neighborhoods (and much more artistic and high quality shots, I might add) whereas our "rules" (self-imposed, admittedly) restrict us to small ~1/2 block areas to try to blanket the city uniformly.

I started mapping my Philadelphia photos on Flickr. I have a couple thousand photos of Philadelphia, mostly in Center City or Barely South Philly, so I quickly gave up the project.

Dave- I just spent 20 minutes looking through your pics - very interesting experiment. I'm interested to find out when you go to some of the areas I've never ventured into.

So are we! We have 40 points (square mile indices) so far, but most of them are concentrated in the Manayunk/Roxborough, River, and Center City area. We have some plans to get some more Northeast shots this afternoon, so hopefully the rain will list.
