A very decent place ......

In fact Tony Sr. is the brains behind the outfit, while Tony, Jr is
a marketing whiz. There is also Nicky Luke.

They have opened a sports bar across the street and the recently
renamed Seafood Place is their's too. It was Casa di Pasta, now its seafood.

That's funny.

Don't ask me why, but I rented Like Father Like Son, and am glad for Mr. Luke that he can make sandwhiches.....because he is an aweful actor.

I read/heard somewhere that the reason he got the part in LFLS is because he bankrolled the film.

I never knew he was an actor, but I just searched for him on IMDB and found this great upcoming project:

10th and Wolf:
Tagline: Where an ounce of blood is worth more than a pound of friendship...

Plot Outline: A former street tough returns to his Philadelphia home after a stint in the military. Back on his home turf, he once again finds himself tangling with the mob boss who was instrumental in his going off to be a soldier.

Sounds like it will paint a great image for S. Philly.

Actually, its TFTS.

There is a poster in the window on Passyunk Ave,
just south of Pat's Steaks.

If You Like The Sopranos, You'll Probably Like This, 6 November 2003

This is a borderline 8 movie. I don't really have a lot of criticism, but it lacks most of the ingredients required for a 9 or 10 - meaning something special.

There was really no one particular thing special about it - and the ending was not surprising but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

I thought the acting was very good - gritty and intense. This movie kind of reminded me of The Sopranos, though I liked the latter a lot better. Not too much to say. You have to accept a lot of language and violence (and I mean VIOLENCE) - blood and guts. But, if you can get over that, settle in for a reasonably good movie.

Yeah. Tenth and Wolf was shot in Pittsburgh last September/October. Some folks I know who worked on it tell me that the setting in the script was changed from Philly to a non-descript city.
