Philadelphia is going to hell in a handbasket, and the Daily News thinks the most important news reporting is a "Sexy Singles Contest"! Time to pack the bags and get out of town.

I don't read the Daily News but the Inquirer but this isn't a big deal. Or a bad reflection on the Daily News as a newspaper.

Sex, sizzle sells! Television, magazines, sports, politics, fashions... you name it.

I just read about this, the contest, on this blog within the last week but my co-workers and friends have been following it.

All true, but a feature such as this, I think belongs more in a magazine, such as Philadelphia Magazine, then a daily newspaper, but like you said, sex sells.

And some of the women in there was UGLY and was no where near a sexy single

This is one reason why I think the Daily News sucks, besides it not having anything good to read, but because they pick Sexy Singles to talk about. This city has so much good news, in the midst of all the bad things that are happening. Why couldn't they write a story on the positive things in the city and put it on the cover?

This world is bombarded by sex on tv, the internets, magazines, so why can't the Daily News keep journalist integrity and report on something that matters and not give the city this nonsense.

I guess they figure they can only run those photos of jailbird Kirsch in her bikini so many times before people stop buying their rag. Or until Larry Mendte gives up them shots of Alycia in her bikini.

Brynne Ashton seemed the least ugly of the women. I can't really say anything about the men since I don't bat from that side of the plate.
