I read most of this yesterday (hard getting motivated to work after vacation) and just had to check the update.... so...
why didn't you ask her out for Saturday? lol.... but really, if you're still interested, it doesn't sound like she is not interested at all and you could still have a shot if you want one unless i'm interpreting the conversation incorrectly. And if you only went out on 2 dates with # 3 planned and all 3 were during the week - I dont find that odd at all especially since it IS the summer and weekends can be busy w/ other things.... |

The think the three week gap between the 2nd and 3rd date made it easy for her to focus her attention on someone else |

Umm. I don't recall you mentioning the three week gap (if you did, my bad). From this thread, it sounds like you sent this girl every signal that you aren't interested.

seeing how she failed to lay out her ground rules for the dance up front, and would likely have had you wearing flip flops and getting facials (and proclaiming to like it) by now, I'd say it's a net win overall.
Lessons learned: 1) Never cancel without a re-schedule. 2) Email ain't a good tool for dating. Pick up the phone. 3) Be honest; full disclosure is a good thing. 4) Right or wrong - NEVER hesitate. Ya snooze, ya lose. 5) Women are enigmas. Trying to figure them out is a sure path to defeat. Just when you think you have the answers, they change the questions. 6) Women rock. Despite #5, we continue to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They know we won't stop. Even if we do, some other clown is in line. And they know it. Damn them all. |
