PS what did you do with your stimulus chec$?

Put it in the bank. The cancellation wasn't about me NOT HAVING MONEY, it was more about my mindset on that day after having a meeting at work about a possible layoff.

besides the free outdoor movie at the Schuylkill Banks park, I bet there are several other ideas around town for a wallet-lite date.

yes, the mindset does matter. if you're not in the right frame of mind, going on a date can mess it up.

Dude, you canceled a date on her and then when she wrote you, you haven't written back to her in at lest three days.

Unless you give her a good reason why you didn't get back in touch with her (like you were out of the country and just got the email) there is a good shot she has figured you are not into her and has moved on.

You pretty much just told her she isn't important enough to find the time to at least send her an email in three days OVER a long holiday weekend.

You can't treat women like that and expect them to sit by the phone waiting.

On the other part of the conversation, if she is telling you she is dating someone else only after going out with you twice, she seems a little cookie. I would never expect someone to be exclusive after two dates, unless it was brought up.

But, this all is a prime example of "communication". You should have just called her the day you got the email and asked her what was up.

Please explain to me what type of date would be "creative" enough for a woman to be happy about.

No. These things are fine by themselves in general, but not dateworthy events.

And the card game with a picnic basket on the AM steps is just weird. It's going a bit overboard.

I must be weird then because I actually think those are fine things to do. And the card game / picnic on the Art Museum steps sounds very creative in particular.
