Nothing to lose.....!

I esp. keep meeting men w.cat allergies which would NEVER work for me given that I have cats, and intend on ALWAYS having cats.

I also keep meeting socially awkward men; staring at the ceiling, saying nothing, unable to absorb anything in the conversation, less than profound thinkers...really oddball people. So oddball that I can't figure how they don't fall in the shower.

Anyone NOT like that...apply now!

Heehehe..!

Well there was the one guy who picked me up wearing a flannel button down shirt and ripped jogging pants. Oh yea - he had missing teeth, too.

I may be a big girl, but I still have standards, dammit!

Ick. Sounds similar to one I met (Match.com date).
Was supposed to be 48--looked at least 70 (another person using 20 year old pics of himself). Had those old Man cataract eyes, and had a huge growth on one of his lower eyelids. I mean HUGE. It's not something that you can't NOT STARE at. Oh, man, remove that thing already!

He was also very dirty and had crusted food on several places of his shirt (indicating that the shirt has seen many meals without a wash).

He also said that he'd been placing personal ads in newspapers for over 20 years....

I couldn't drink my cup of coffee fast enough....

I had to be polite and engage in general conversation for a half-hour.

Awful!

if you met someone who looked 20 years older you were supposed to leave right away, not chat for 30 mins

I can't say how old he really was. Some people photograph well; others poorly. He looked at least 20 years older than the photo, but ya never know.

Finishing the cup of coffee is pretty much obligatory when you are meeting someone for the first time. No need to treat people poorly by packing up and leaving after 5 mins.

I've wanted to do that many times, but I'd hate for someone to do that to me if they were unhappy with my appearance, but then again for the record I have all up to date pics and I am VERY upfront and HONEST about what I look like!!!

CreativePerson - makes ya think -- 20 years of doing the dating thing and he's still there? LOL I've been off and on.. nowhere close to 20 yrs!

I know! 20 years of personal ads in the newspaper....sad, really!
I'm new to the dating scene....I was married for almost 20 years and now suddenly single. This whole scene is so bizarre. I think I will start a new thread and ask people to tell their dating stories.

I was beginning to think I was the only one getting the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest candidates!
