I can't believe the coverage on this story. Fox29 spent the first 5 minutes on it. 3 stories later before they covered a shootout with police in broad daylight that happened today. Spent about 3 mins on that. And then they did a 3 minute followup about how Mendte might have used spyware to figure out her password. "Might have." Give them an emmy.

I have actually met Larry a couple of times a few of them he was with his wife and kids. He seemed like a nice guy and relatively normal. He wasn't like Jim Gardner who was like Ron Burgundy with the tact of bag filled with civet cats.

I've always thought he was an azzhole and now we have proof. Buh-bye Larry

I have to say that I have a ton of respect for Dawn Stensland now. How uncomfortable was that broadcast? It takes some strong character to sit there while your co-anchor is reporting about your husband's alleged crime - for 10 minutes!!!! yikes!

I agree. Her professionalism last night was amazing. However, I do wonder if she knew what her husband was up to all along. I hope she didn't know.

People should also be picking apart the Daily News columnist who joyfully accepted all the info Mendte was sending him from Lane's email for two years. He's the one who ultimately "leaked" everything.

Would that be one Mr. Daniel Gross?

She looked pretty uncomfortable after they tossed things back from John Bolaris to her and she had to report on the shooting in Philadelphia.

Hopefully Dawn didn't know anything about what Larry was doing.

I always thought Larry Mendte was a good guy but now he looks like a complete moron. He had a great job and was probably making 600k+(guess).


As I remember Mendte also had a problem with Gizelle Fernandez when he was on Access Hollywood. I think he was probably trying to sleep with Fernandez and Lane, I know I would have been trying.

I definitly think the smell of divorce is in the air. You figure if Mendte gets a gig in a another city (no way a station here would hire him) where does that leave Dawn? I don’t know how much longer Dawn has on her contract at Fox, but is very real that they could go their separate ways.

Just a thought…

I still feel bad for Dave Huddleston. He totally got screwed and he was one of the few that actually “reported” the news
