Default Is this a new dating requirement for women???

A guy who COOKS??? I get so sick of a women i just meet asking me do I cook. And I'm like-"why do you even care how I eat my food on a daily basis? It has never been on my mind to ask a woman does she cook.

So if a guy doesn't cook then what? She no longer wants to date him?

You have to cook AND be good looking.

Maybe she's just making conversation? Perhaps she cooks and think that it would be a fun activity to share...you know, just before she smears Nutella on her cleavage and asks you to, ahem, clean her off.

I like it that my husband is an awesome cook, but I'm also a really good cook, so if he didn't, it would hardly be a deal breaker. If he ate Cheese Whiz on everything...that would be a deal breaker.

They probably want to make sure you're self-sufficient and not looking for a new mommy. I'll bet a fair number of guys would like to be reasonably certain that the women they date are capable of earning a living on their own if necessary.

Addressed to a guy, "do you cook" could also be a less scary way of asking "if we were someday to marry and have children, would you change your share of diapers? Or is the whole domestic shebang going to land squarely on me? 'Cos I wasn't planning to give up my career forever, sparky."

I have cooked for women out here the past two years. It is a good way to impress women.

They love my stromboli.

exactly! if you want to impress a woman, specially if she's one of those high-fliers career type, you show that you can not only go with her on for her company's holiday party and look awesome, but also cook a meal for two...and pair it with a nice red wine, before helping her with her Nutella problem...

My husband made me a beautiful sea bass dinner on our first date. We were married one year later. I now do all the cooking, but I'm not sure how that happened.

LOL!!! DH never cooked for me, but he used to clean the kitchen after dinner. Now, thank goodness he can smell food, as that is the only time he finds his way to the kitchen.
