Second to last is Edinburgh...I think a couple are Scotland/England (and London, obviously)

and the last...um, Philly?

Manhattan -- London, UK -- Manhattan --- Brooklyn -- Vermont -- Philly.

I loved living in Brooklyn, but overall right now I'd say Philly suits me best.

1-4 are various obscure villages in Scotland. Then Edinburgh, Canterbury, London and Philly. Unfortunately, no Paris or Granada.

yeah, that Canterbury cathedral is modeled after the Notre Dame du Paris. That's why I too thought that was perhaps Paris.

I guess you could say I'm not as jaded about "stuff" such as enduring love yet...

Second to last is the House of Parliament, and the clock is the Tower clock aka Big Ben on the River Thames.

Last picture is 15th and Cambria...lol (don't know that one)

What attracted you to Philly?

I guess I'm just trying to see if people are happy to be in Philly and happy that they chose Philly after all the experiences of living in other places.
We moved here because my husband was relatively unhappy in the suburbs. I was pretty neutral and had no reason not to give it a try. If we move it probably won't be far because our families are here and will most likely be for school for our son. So, Mike Nutter better get cracking because we don't want to have to move for that reason--it would be depressing.

Someone at work that lives in Fairmount was almost taken aback that I grew up in Philadelphia my whole life, but chose to buy a house in the suburbs. He asked several times if there was any possibility that I'd consider moving back. Told him to get me a twin or single in Mt Airy, Chestnut Hill, Overbrook Farms with off street parking, central A/C, 2 baths, and a private yard in the low 300's, not in a up and coming area, close to shopping and I'd think about it (for that kind of money it needs to have come up a whole lot). I even know that I may be asking for too much here..

Grew up near 16th & Dauphin in North Philly until age 22, Wynnefield Heights for about 8 years, then bought in Jeffersonville 2 years back...
Having grown up in old North Philly rowhouses most of my life, I know that it's not for me going forward.

I was born in Brooklyn & grew up in northern NJ (within view of the Manhattan skyline) & spent a good part of my life working in and/or visiting NYC. Hubby was born & raised in London. We both wanted to get back to the city & started to look towards Philly when it became apparent we couldn't afford anything we'd like to live in in NY (never mind London). Now that we're here, we couldn't be happier. We really LOVE Philly & see ourselves staying for a long time to come.
