Sometimes I envy the "born and raised" in one place folks. I have a friend in her 50s who was born, raised, went to college, and worked for 20+ years in Philly and never moved. She has so many great friends from childhood (dating back to Kindergarten!) that she still sees regularly and connections like you wouldn't believe. It's a lot harder to do this when you've lived a more transient life.
Anyhow, my journey thus far: Poughkeepsie, NY >>> Wappinger's Falls, NY >>> Hong Kong (when it was a British colony) >>> Wappinger's Falls, NY >>> Poughkeepsie, NY >>> Austin, TX (hook 'em horns) >>> Omaha, NE >>> Cambridge, MA >>> Boston, MA (Brookline, Chestnut Hill) >>> Philadelphia (East Falls) >>> ? |

West Philly --> South Philly
Living in the same place for 27+ years is only bearable because of the amount of people that I have been able to maintain relationships with in the city. Sometimes I wish it was New York and not Philly. |

Seems like we have a lot of students who studdied abraod. I never got to do that, too many obligations outside of school work. Would have loved to have seen Scandinavia, Iceland, Ireland, England, Swiss, or Belgium.
