Not sure if it's the one immediatley next to the 7-11 or not, if not it's only a door or two away. Stanfa lived on the north side of the1700 blk of W Passyunk, a few doors east of 18th, what a loveable personality that creep had. Also, didn't Scarfo have another younger son that attempted suicide as a teen? And anyone know what happened to him?

Edit to add: (from Wiki)
During the trial, Mark Scarfo attempted suicide on November 1, 1988. Mark, then only 17 years old, had been taunted for years by classmates about his father's criminal activities. Increasingly despondent over his father's possible imprisonment, Mark Scarfo hanged himself in the office of his father's concrete supply company in Atlantic City. He was discovered by his mother, and paramedics were able to resuscitate him. He suffered cardiac arrest and his brain was deprived of oxygen. He entered a coma, from which he had yet to emerge as of 2008.

Does anyone have knowledge of cosa nostra's history here in Philadephia? Was it ever as significant as in New York?
I don't know much about that stuff, but I can add a cool anecdote. My buddy's father was a mobster who was killed (his mom also OD'ed and died, but that's besides the point). I saw a special on WHYY about the Philly mob once and asked him why he never got involved in that. He started listing his lineup for one of his little league teams, saying either "dead" or "in prison" after each name. Turns out he's the only one of what he refered to as the usual starting 9 who isn't either dead or imprisoned. I had no idea mobsters were that numerous in South Philly at one time. You should hear the stories he tells. Some funny, some not so funny.
