Apparently (according to a recent Philly Mag profile) Angelo Bruno's daughter now lives in her parents old house.

I read that article. She does not seem to have handled her father's death very well, especially sicen it occurred in 1981. Having your father blown away right outside of your home will do that to you I guess.

Anyone familiar with the area?? The house is located right next to the 7-11 ???

I've been wondering the same thing, as I live very near by; at the same time, I thought it would be improper to ask in a public forum, as people have a certain right to privacy.

I've also looked for the address of Phil Testa's house and come up empty-handed.

Many of these "mob addresses" have been disclosed in books written about the Philadelophia Mob.

Phil Anastasia especially has written a few VERY good books (Blood and Honor, Mobfather, The Goodfella Tapes).

Also read a very good series of books (three to be exact)called "Before Bruno" by Celeste Moreno which traces the history of the Philadelphia Mob from it's roots all the way to when Bruno took over in the 50's.

That's right. It's on the south side of Snyder @10th and Snyder, the first house directly left of the 7-Eleven, I believe. The address is 900-something. I wasn't living in the city back in '81 but remember vividly the picture in the Inky of the shot-to-death Bruno in the passenger's side front seat of the car. I think about it whenever I pass that house.

Default Picture of Angelo Bruno in car after being shot.

It's not the best shot but it's the only one I have in the computer. I was told that he was a nice guy. I only saw him one time sitting in a window seat in a SP restaurant.

Without a doubt, highly recommend it. Amazon has it and possibly a few branches of the library. For sometime it was very hard to find this book as I learned firsthand trying to replace a copy that someone "borrowed" from me. A couple other good reads (not Philly related) are The Godson(Boston) and Joe Doggs(Florida).
