A really good piece by Annette John-Hall today, who looks at Dr. Keith Leaphart, and a new initiative he is undertaking with various barbers. He is encouraging them to become mentors to young boys, in order to help structure their lives.

If you want bright, new ideas that shake beliefs to their core, and revitalize what people can do, don't look to government. The best we can hope for is that government co-opts the really good ideas and gives them a chance to really develop.
