Sansom Village was cool. I still have a belt buckle That a vendor made while I waited.

I saw Steppenwolf at the original Electric Factory.

Ward's follies!! now there a name I had forgotten too.
Were they the place on the corner of Sansom that sold the "Biggest" bell bottoms around? Or was it the shoe store? Either way, I got shoes that were one of a kind at the shoe store and bell's at the other one too...LOL

How about the "Bee In's" up at belmont plateu ?

I loved Sansom Village ... it was so "far out!" - a friend of mine had a leather store there. Remember going to Harlow's on Bank Street for drinks and running into all kinds of city politicians (that was around the time jack Kelly was dating Harlow - remember THAT scandal!!) I can't remember where The Gilded Cage was - help me.

Yeah, Ward's was on the corner and sold the wide bells. The shoe stores were, I think, Ronald Phillips and Sweet Fanny Adams. The Gilded Cage was a coffee house where Fri,Sat,Sun is. Far Out. Memorable electric factory concerts, Crazy world of Arthur Brown, The Who, Procul Harum, Traffic, Humble Pie...OMG

I spend time on a few classic Philadelphia radio websites and among the airchecks I have found is one from the end of the 60s with an ad for "The Trauma." Very amusing ad. I can only imagine what that place must have been like.

Why did the original Electric Factory cease to exist?

A friend of mine who DJs at Pure now and then has a lot of local old school he mixes into dance music, and not just the Blue Notes and MSFB stuff. I ran into someone from Montreal last summer who cleverly took vocals off Norman Conners tracks (Once, I've Been There) and laid it down on top of a 125bpm track... it was very cool listening to that.

I happen to have the original recording on my computer. Imagine this song being turned into downbeat. [I wish I had the voice to sing this at Karaoke ]

And this is why you should donate to PACCA, not PETA:

In September, PETA made headlines in Vermont and across the nation for asking
Ben & Jerry's ice cream to use human breast milk in their ice cream, instead of cow milk

It's still around. They moved to 7th just above Calowhill. I don't know if they still have concerts there but I went to a hot rod show{Big parking lot} a few weeks ago. The Bijou Cafe had some great concerts back then too. I saw Bob Marley there.
