Does anyone have any idea ow I can get test scores from Russel Byers and / or Independence Charter. They do not have them posted on their website that I can find.

The PA Dept of Education site has test scores. Start here:
http://www.paayp.com/126515001_default.html and type in the name of the school in the search box, upper right. Independence CS is in there. Some of the charters, of course, haven't been around long enough to have test scores (though I think ICS & Russell Byers ought to). |

It would be useful to have a sticky with websites frequently used to research test scores, locate applications, etc.
If you dig through past threads you can find many useful websites, but it would be helpful to have them all in one place. Niel, what do you think?

Good point. Esp. since that PA DoE site isn't easy to find - I had to go by way of the CCD's Center City Schools site, since I know how to find it that way. I hereby decree that this shall be a sticky.
banba, if you don't object, I'm going to change the thread's title to indicate that it's about Philly test scores in general. |

Great.
Now can someone post the best site to download the elementary school applications (the actual name escapes me), or do you need to pick one up in person? I think all of the schools use the same form. Thanks!

If you are lazy here is a link to some schools mentioned on phillyblog that I cut and pasted from the State spreadsheet:

New guidelines have requirements for including these kinds of things. PA DOE is a link from our school's website, you can also access test scores, and a whole host of other resources. Not all schools have upgraded yet but I got a significant chunk of time to begin the process and here is what I have done so far. The basic template will be nearly the same for all schools and the basic resources will be required by supposedly next year. By then it shouldn't be so difficult to get info, shouldn't being the operative word
http://www.hillfreedman.phila.k12.pa.us I also envision our website being for the community at large so if you have any suggestions for what you'd like to see I'd consider putting it on our website. I know you won't send your kids here but I understand your frustration at finding info about SDP schools. If it relates to a need most parents would have then i can include it. |
