Default North End of Old City

Mr. Sweatoh seems to have left the building.

I'm considering moving here since it's around a lot of nightlife, and walking distance to Nolib, Delaware Ave, and 2nd and Market.
Philadelphia Management owns Chancery Lane Apartments on Arch between Front and 2nd. Check them out.

Default Phila. Management

You might want to stay away from Philadelphia Management. I've heard nothing but negative things about them. I've talked to several people who live in their buildings, and they all say that they can't wait to leave. They have a nasty habit of buying buildings and letting them get run down. Beware.

I have had a fine experience with them - they are generally very prompt and get things done (repairs) when I need them. I live at Chancery Lane now. Is it perfect? No, of course not, but the nice thing that they do is they let you move from building to building without breaking your lease - so if you want to upgrade and get a bigger place, you can do so, even if your lease isn't up yet.

I didn't care for the building I lived in the first year i was with them, but that was my fault for picking it.

I agree with Jennifer, I lived in one of their buildings (13th and Spruce) for 6 years and they were fine. I know that fivetonine lived in one and complained on this board, but that was because her building was at 13th and walnut, in the middle of the red light bar drug area. But the attraction was that the rent was dirt cheap.

that's the same building (13 & walnut) i was in ... chosen for exactly the reason you mention ... ... All in all, they're cool, and when I was ready to move to Old City, I did so a month or two before my lease ran out at 13 & walnut. I appreciated the flexibility!

I live in this area now, and think it's pretty nice. A bit expensive. In walking distance of all the bars and restaurants - we even have a nice BYOB right at the corner of 4th and Wood, Raddichio Cafe. If you drive, it's easy to go to all the major highways. I live in a building managed by Brandywine, and think they are better than most management companies, but not 100% great. They fix things that are easy to fix very quickly, but the more difficult jobs take them a lot longer to get to and fix properly.
