Anybody have any information on the helicopter that's been circling around 3rd/4th and between Chestnut/Arch?

It's been circling the area since before 11pm and from my vantage point, they have the spotlight focused on something...or are trying to find something.

If it had a spot light, it was probably PPD chopper or a "ghetto bird". There's a few that work West, NoLibs, North Philly and along major highway exchanges. They're usually called in by ground units and help spot "potential" suspects on foot or in cars. Although our area rarely gets "lit up", when in support, they fly in a slow, methodical, circle around an area of interest. Very annoying and a reminder that the City has a lot of work to do to help to ease tension and reduce crime.
