I think Steven Grosse would have been thrilled that he made international news:

This thread probably belongs (under a better title) in the History and Traditions forum, where the crime buffs will find it.
I was fascinated by the case at the time, and I'm not surprised there's never been an arrest as the prime suspect couldn't be directly implicated in the crime. The case (as it was) was nothing but loose ends, and all the police found in their investigations were more lose ends where the facts should have been. Perhaps one day something will turn up that explains the whole thing. Who knows. One question: what is it about dentists that leads to shady dealing and weird behavior? |

Alot of cash leads to alot of shady dealings. I have two dentists that are friends, and they are constantly working with people on this or that next great get rich scheme, while buying and selling realestate quicker than you can blink.

In real life, he was a really nice guy. Got married right here in the Ritz Carlton about 15 years ago. Deborah Guydon. At least he was nice to me, I mean the guy was married five times. Then he died. In 2000. I wonder if one of his ex-wives killed him. Was it that he was really good at ticking people off, or maybe he could just never quench his love for Hot Lips, 'cause he was never married to Loretta Swit. Larry did love to Par-tay, unlike Frank Burns. Big time smoker and drinker, God Bless 'im. I thought his best role, though, was on CHiPs, where he played some guy in a neck brace who'd been rammed by a tailgater and then, what he did, was put this plate on the back underneath of his car, and if you'd tailgate him, he'd drop it and sparks and smoke would fly up all crazy and blind you and then you'd get in an accident. Well, it took Ponch and Jon and Bonnie and Sarge pretty much the entire episode, but they finally caught him and I think his car ramped over another car at the end. It was awesome.
