LOL 5 seconds after the booms were heard, 3 posts from miles apart show up on Phillyblog.

I can still hear them, but can't see them.

And this is why you should donate to PACCA, not PETA:

In September, PETA made headlines in Vermont and across the nation for asking
Ben & Jerry's ice cream to use human breast milk in their ice cream, instead of cow milk

Could this be some event going on in Camden?

Fireworks shot on 4th of July and NYE I can see from my apartment very well, typically.

This might be further away.

Did the Phillies just win a home game? I could hear them but I couldn't see them, and I can usually see the ones over Penns Landing or the Art Museum.

The sound and flashes of light seemed to be coming from Penn's Landing, but with the weather as it is, the light could be reflected from anywhere [I can't see the stadiums from up here], and the sound bounced off buildings.

It definitely wasn't over the Flyers. They lost Game 1.

Hrm. Dunno.

I live next to the bridge and hear them every year. It might not be every game, but they do it at many weekend games. I wonder if maybe the low clouds or something caused the sound to carry much further than normal?
