Default Accident at 4th and Arch

Someone blows thru the light side swipes an SUV and runs down two people. The woman that was run down was crushed so bad most of her looked flat. This is the fourth accident i've seen like this in Old City in the last year. Damn Jersey drivers.

Did you see if the person who hit them at least stopped?

Didn't have much choice. The front of the car was crunched when it hit the Holiday Inn.

3 of the people in the hospital are my friends and coworkers. This is...incredibly difficult for all of us. I am so angry about this, but they will survive as far as we know.

I wrote a long post about my true feelings which I just had to delete for professional reasons. Here's what I will say:

If you are a motorist, PAY ATTENTION TO THE RULES OF THE ROAD EVERY MOMENT YOU ARE BEHIND THE WHEEL IN THIS CITY.

I hope for the best for them.

I was at the scene with the owner of Mode Moderne and we talked about the increase of speed thru the streets of Old City and the disregard for traffic lights, stop signs and one way signs.

Does not seem like an area that should be prone to accidents I've been there before.

By looking at it you wouldn't think so but people can blow thru any light. The firemen located right on the corner commented at the alarming rate of accidents in Old City this year.

When there aren't consequences for any moving violations in the city, then people will continue to think they can do whatever they want. From running lights to parking in illegal spots to speeding, non-local drivers know that they aren't going to get pulled over here, let alone a ticket.

PS. I hope your co-workers make a full recovery.
