Default Less not more people in Old City

After speaking to several OCCA members and realtors there seem to be some concern that the number of people living in Old City has dropped over the last year. Most of it due to condo conversions where renter's leases came to an end only for the condo unit to sit empty. The other is from an unusually high number of older lofts and apartments for rent.

I was forced to look for a new place (fire not condo conversion) and I couldn't find anything to rent in OC. I was forced to move to RH square as there were nice apartments for fair rent. Its a shame as I am now thinking of a condo and I am wondering about OC as a good place for a younger professional.
