Anyone else notice this tonight?

I haven't read anything, but it appears to be a vast improvement. The Hall can be seen from much further away and really stood out in the rain tonight.

I believe these super spotlights were put in place temporarily for tonight only as ABC's World News Tonight (with Charles Gibson) was broadcasting live from Independence Mall. They've been following Mayor Nutter around for a story about the new mayor.

I hope they are temporary. While it was cool to see the buildings lit up like that, it was far from a professional architectural lighting design. They just had giant bright white lights sitting on the ground across the street.

Yeha, they are gone. It lok good on TV last night. Anything that makes Philly look good one TV...
