one was evicted because the owner thought another tennant was moving in to the unit as a roomate.

Actually, YOU were evicted for much more than what you listed...and you know what those reasons are.

I suppose I could argue....but what is the point. That would be like arguing with a guy who came on PB and posted that the sky is red, water is dry, and the sun is cold.

Whoo hoo, new Old City posts..... Oh. Drats.

Well at least the owners of Red Sky will be happy to know they were right.

What about Losers Heights or Scam Hill?
LOL...I just hope that that the character (of course the positive elements!) of many of these neighborhoods will stay intact, no matter how the names change. I've seen it in NY (Dumbo, and Williamsburg, Brooklyn) and I'm seeing signs of it in some great neighborhoods in Philly. What am I seeing? Neighborhoods that become known for something...that have a sense of culture and identity that somehow get put in the washer, on spin cycle, and lose what made people stand up and take notice in the 1st place! I know I'm 'preaching to the choir', but Philly has a real opportunity here, Now in this crucial time. We do have somewhat of a chance (now...for a limited time), a say, to set the course..if you will. I also think of course that beautiful architecture should reflect the energy of the neighborhood or at least make a statement (hopefully one that most of us will like!) One of my favorite residential buildings in the city is Society Hill Towers designed by I.M. Pei. Tall...yes. But it has the space around it..so it's not 'looming' at us. Just tranquil and beautifully minimalistic.

"tranquil and beautifully minimalistic"...spoken like a true real estate agent trying to push their out-dated product.

Default Society Hill borders

Enough of yer feudin'. Back to the point of the original thread...

If you want to know the borders of Society Hill (SH), look into the light. SH's borders are marked by those funky lamp posts with the rust-colored posts and orange light bulbs. They are on the north side of Lombard - SH southern border, and the east side of 8th - SH western border. We live on 8th between Pine and Lombard, specifically, the NE corner of Addison and 8th. The west side of 8th is 19147 - aka, Wash West. Believe me, when we sell our place in this buyers market, we will work that SH angle and our 19106 zip.
