I believe that it's Wash West, since it's west of 7th St, the western boundary of Washington Square. OTOH, if you drew a line due south along the western edge of the square, it would cross Pine a few doors west of 7th St.

Either way, welcome to the neighborhood, RDM.

I recently had to do some research into this for a project that I'm working on. The boundary, according to the city records that I have, is 8th Street. Wash West includes 8th Street and everything east of that is Society Hill. So 700 Pine would be Society Hill.

Default It's just a ploy (name) for realitors to make more money

Soon there will be and upper Society Hill, Olde City South, West,
and East, (which of course is Camden), and Olde City North is Northern Liberties.

Can't wait to see what they decide to name the neighborhoods surrounding the forever proposed casino areas..
What about Losers Heights or Scam Hill?

Default 7th & Pine Street...

...is certainly part of Society Hill. Great neighbourhood!
BTW, "Olde City" is the way it was spelled when it was first used back in the 1970's. The quaint "e" has been dropped of late, but it really doesn't matter to most of us.

Default Evictions At 209 Cuthbert-and A Happy New Year?

:what_is_: :what_is_: :what_is_: If there is any proof of how a uncaring a certain realitor/managment group on 3rd st who owns three buildings in Olde City that converted to condos, just try and ask one of the many evicted tennants. All were under the impression from the condo conversion papers that they could stay until sept 2007. As it turns out, the greedy owners have done nothing to
maintain any sort of quality of life for those remaining tennants. Instead
they have decided to evict each on on made up charges.

one was evcited for talking to the constuction workers.
one was evicted for having a leaking bathroom (which managment has never fixed , for 2 years)
one was evicted because the owner thought another tennant was moving in to the unit as a roomate.

the work and noise is constant, the place is filled with rats, roaches, termintes and other assorted vermen.

the owners have consistanly broken the law, by removing trees, working past 3pm, letting realitors show occupied units and basically doing a very poor job of remodling.

the lofts on cutherbert have been on the market since october, no one has bought any of them.

desperate the realitors/owners have resorted to giving out tee shirts and shot glasses to anyone will to view the so-sample unit.

these people are dispicable, have no heart, and have ruined many lives.

attempting to scare a plus 60 tennant, two people with children, they have caused lawsuits galore.

will someone please step in and take a look at what is going on at 209 cuthbert?

how many more padlocks do tenants need to install to keep the uncaring
owners out?

some people are going to have a horrible holiday, i just wish included the owners of the property.

face it ..the bubble has burst ..no one is going to buy a 1/2 million dollar from a realitor with such bad karma..

LMAO.

A note to "renters unit" and your three other aliases:
If you're going to mock other people, it helps your case if you have:
1) a rudimentary idea of how to spell
2) 10th grade-level social skills
3) a finger to hit "caps unlock," and
4) a logical point.

Now, please do carry on. You crack me up.
