Here is the complete article:

Please stop in and visit. Even if you can't adopt, just stop in and give those animals a pet--they need ti!

Hope you stop in and visit.

If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know if there are any questions I can answer for any of you.

I'm definitely intersted in volunteering. I have a few questions, when does it open, when were you looking for volunteers to help and/or what time?

The new adoption center opened this morning! It's awesome... the space is bright and cheerful, the cats and dogs are adorable, and they even sell a few basic pet supplies. I just love watching the kitties playing in the window.

To sign up to volunteer, you can either go through the PAWS website (www.phillypaws.org) or just show up and fill out a contact form. I volunteer from time to time, and I love it! I've met a lot of inspiring people and friendly pets, and helped dozens of dogs and cats find loving homes.

The Old City adoption center is open 7 days a week. I don't know the exact hours but currently they need volunteers from 10am-8pm Mon-Sat and 10-7 on Sundays. Obviously you don't need to sign up for the whole day (unless you want to). PAWS also needs volunteers for South Philly PetSmart adoptions, other off-site events, and at the main shelter on Hunting Park Ave.
