Thursday, January 26th, Philadelphia. Lucy’s Hat Shop is proud to host WIP’S Marc Farzette and “El Wingador”, last year’s winner of the Wing Bowl, for this year’s College Student Only Wing Eating pre-quailification contest. Lucy’s is psyched to work with the illustrious “El Wingador” who won last year’s Wing Bowl Contest. “El Wingador” is a multiple winner of the Wing Bowl, bringing experience as his judging credentials. With the new rules of the contest stipulating it as an “all virgin” event, Lucy’s is proud to participate in the pre-qualifiying contest for area College Students on Thursday, Jan.26th. Doors open at 5pm.

The competition at Lucy’s Hat Shop is open to College students only for participation yet anyone is welcome to come and watch. One lucky winner of this contest will go on to compete in the Wing Bowl contest held on Feb.3rd at the Wachovia Center. The winner of the actual Wing Bowl will win a brand new 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitra. As an extra perk, Lucy’s will be giving out 20 tickets to the already sold out Wing Bowl Event.

Contestants form all area colleges are encouraged to register at Lucy’s Hat Shop on January 26th from 8:30pm-9:30pm. The College Wing Eating contest will begin at 10pm. All college students must present a valid ID and College ID to participate in the contest. Eat the most Wings out of the other contestants in ten minutes and represent your school at Wing Bowl in front of 20,000 fans and maybe win a car.

Lucy’s will also offer $1 Miller Lite Bottles from 10-12am, and their daily $3 Soco and lime shots and $4 Tuaca shots during this event. DJ Shecky Lopez will be spinning a mix of Rock N’Roll, punk, alternative and 80’s favorites for entertainment from 8:30pm-2am. Lucy’s offers pool tables, pin-ball games HDTV’S to keep the guests entertained.

Everyone is encouraged to come out and view the spectacle. Guests must be 21 years of age and older with valid ID to enter Lucy’s.

It should be cool! I saw El Wingador last night at The Body Art Ball held at the Troc.... looking forward to meeting him at Lucy's. I hear Lucy's is expecting over 30 people to compete. It should be cool.
