It is - with the exception of the keg parties on Fri./Sat. nights in the woods.. but, they don't make THAT much noise.

You'll never ever be able to stop kids from being kids.

I'd much rather have them out in the woods then in some poor kids parents house who have decided to go away for the weekend only to come home and find out that their being fined by the city for "allowing" kids to drink in their house.

I didn't hear anything about this until now, thats screwed up. I fish in the park alot and to be honest I carry my knife with me now more for protection than to use while fishing. Sad.

I'm anxious to see what develops from the autopsy and identity of this fried person.
Being the body was near the road I tend to think it might have been dragged from a car and set on fire.
That stretch of Lexington Ave is pretty easy for a car to just pull over and take off in a hurry.
We'll see...

I love how this is a non-story on the news. There was ZERO on at 6 and 11 about it last night, and no signs of police tape or anything around the area of where it happened.. like it never happened.

The fact that the news isn't playing up this incident is a good thing, IMO. That's a nice little area. They don't need the bad press.

Yeah but c'ya, what about the park rapist story?..... I know that happened as well in other parts of the city, and what about back in 2000 when they found a guy (Adam Levy) handcuffed, pants down to his ankles and strangled by a bike trail?
Plus the double shooting/murders by black kids that took place around that time. Also in the park.

I wonder if since John Perzell lives around the corner from there, if that has anything to do with hushed crimes?

That is really creepy i live close by aw well. this is a very nice section of our neighborhood , doesnt surpise me that it didnt make the news since nothing bad that happens in NE is.

The Inquirer is reporting he was a drug dealer and well known to police. He had also been charged in 2007 with attempted murder, but those charges were dropped.
