Please see the McCulloughs sign in person. It's spray paint on a wall and apparently at the right angle, at the right time of the day, and with the correct lighting it doesn't look bad. Yes, Reales doesn't look good either, but when I noticed McCulloughs sign I was very surprised.

I guess I'm more of a traditionalist. I like the classic look, and would have liked to have seen an old style Irish pub sign.

Has anyone ventured inside of the new place as of yet. Just curious because although I hate the sign I'm curious of how the inside is.

I would really like to see Frankford Avenue have another place where you grab a descent meal and a good beer for dinner or lunch. Something like the Ashburner, Grey Lodge, and Three Monkey's

I believe the only thing that changed is the sign..still the same as the last two bars.

compared to this

When I see beer banners outside bars I tend to stay away from them especially if they are hung every which way.....they just look trashy. One isnt a big deal....haning from light poles and over doorways and across windows...okay enough already....

Yes, they took over what was Dunphy's Truck Center. Better more accessible location IMO.

I'm nt positive but it's possible there could be some L&I issues regarding how/where they're hung and the amounts of them. It might not be too popular to say this but I think the whole Ave could use a major, thorough L&I sweep.

Lets start with the pawn show who has a sign just leaning on the front of the building which I take it they put out every morning. I know that isnt legal.

Yeah, Reale's really does look dumpy. Might be time for an overhaul of that place... inside and out.
