I'm in agreement with all of your points. Parents should be teaching their children the basics of being a good neighbor. One of those basic ideas is not to make a mess of things you don't own, whether it's public or private property. The schools should make a point of teaching the kids the same lesson so they are at least exposed to the idea, or reinforcing the idea to the few kids who do hear the message at home. Enforcement is definitely a huge issue. Yes, parents should be responsible for their minor children and held accountable for anything those children do.

About 3 or 4 houses east of the church thats on the NE corner of Frankford and Shelmire. If you want to track down the St Rep you have to make a trip across the river.

Sometimes the trash men simply won't pick up the CVS bag. Someone dropped a CVS bag by my trash last week that had a Wawa fountain cup, some tissues, and one of those nasty glue traps in it. It was disgusting. The trash man wouldn't pick it up.

I'm not a frail guy. If I see abandoned cash 'n carry bags sitting on the sidewalk I don't have a problem with picking it up and putting it on your stoop so you have no choice but to deal with it.

There is one dude who lives up near the end of my block by the dentists office who has more than NINE copies of the NE Times still in plastic laying around all over his front lawn. The NE Times is only delivered once a week.

His weeds... or what is supposed to be grass... looks like it was cut about the time his papers were last picked up, too. I saw the dude leave his house yesterday morning to go to work or whatever he does during the day. He had to step over them to get off his lot.

I'm tempted to pick them up and stack them on his front door so he has to do something with them when he comes back home.

G'head, tell me how wrong I am for doing that.
