Default Car Parked For-Ever!

Hey guys...a car has been parked in front of my house for over 2 months now with a for-sale sign on it. I realize that I don't "own" the street in front of my house, but it would be nice to park there once in a while. i have left several notes but i'm being completely ignored.

Anyone know if there is a city dept I can contact to have this vehucle towed. I don't know what constitutes "abandoned", but the dates on the reg. stickers are SUPER old (like 5 years since last sticker date), so I suppose registration is way overdue.

any help would be appreciated

File a report at ppdonline, especially if the stickers/tags are expired, you'll need the vehicle info. They usually do respond to these complaints. I believe CLIP also takes these reports so do both. I think technically its also illegal to have a vehicle "for sale" on the street.

As long as the stickers show that its registration has expired, you can report it as abandoned. Had the same situation in front of my house, reported it, and it was towed within a week.

Good luck.

Wow....that's a long time. Hell, my hubby's truck was parked in the same place for three whole days, and the cops were sniffing around it, because someone called in because they suspected it was stolen!! (the car was completely legal)

Have you tried calling the number on the for sale sign yet?
