Default Anyone Hate the Dunkin Donuts on Dungee and Rhawn?

Anyone else getting terribad service at that Dunkin Donuts?

As for myself, I will never go there again. Service has always been slow, but today I walked in, I actually got stupid service. They have a deal going on if you buy a medium coffee, you get a 99 cents croissant, egg, and cheese. So I ask for a large coffee and the 99 cent egg and cheese. You know, thinking that the offer is there to sell more coffee. But, no. The idiot tells me I have to buy a medium coffee to get the deal. Now, is it me, or is that just extremely stupid? Anyway, I'm boycotting that place. I've been eating breakfast at home about 4 days a week, now it looks like I'll be doing it all the time.

Did you leave a tip? Ever since most DD's started that practice I pretty much stopped giving them my biz. Every now and then I would hit the one at Cottman and Torresdale a couple years ago and they instituted a practice of NOT giving you the pennies that were due back to you with your change, I never had so much fun creating a "scene" in a place. Hate the coffee there anyway and usually would only go for the muffins or munchkins if they were needed for a school party etc, and I can always grab their muffins at WaWa anyway instead of dealing with one of their non-english speaking "stupid" employees. BTW, where is Dungee and Rhawn?

No I never left a tip. If the Indians/Pakistanis working there aren't making enough money, it should be up them to demand higher wages. It shouldn't be left to the customer to support the employer's decision to short change the employee.

Sorry, not Dungee. I was thinking about our "great" new School Reform Commission member. It's Dungan street.

Their coffee isn't too bad in my opinion.

The D&D near me, at Shelmire and Frankford, oddly enough is not populated by pakis or indians....I think they have one asian woman but th rest are white.

I do hit the D&D on state road which is run by pakis/indians and they have a great service! They get a tip almost every time.

I've never really had a problem with Dunkin in general and I get a coffee from them almost every day at the one inside the Frankford Terminal. I'll also occasionally hit up the one on Cottman where Krispie Kreme used to be or the one by you at Shelmire.
Coincidentially enough, the one closest to me on Holme circle is the one I go to the least.
I always laugh when I go in and there's a full crew of Indians or Paks and they all have nametags w/American names. "Mike", "Nick", "Mary", etc.
Regardless, if there's a reason to stop going there it should be that Rachel Ray is the new face of their advertising campaign. Can't stand her!

Full disclosure: I have several of her orange cooking items in my kitchen. Pots, pans, garbage bowls, etc. Not by choice, of course.

I am a Dunkin coffee lover and even buy the beans for home. But you definitley have to pick and choose the franchises you give your business to. I agree with Cerb that Frankford and Shellmire is a good location, clean and good service. So is Frankford and Unruh and the Roosevelt Mall spot. I think Torresdale and Cottman is terrible as is Bustleton near Pep Boys and Red Lion and the Blvd. Do a little research and you'll see a common theme among who is operating the nasty ones. I think the tip cup is a little cheesy, sometimes I throw my change in, but usually not...

I went to that DD the other night. What a joke !! It was just after 9:00, and me and the boy were riding our bikes home. When we went to go in, the doors were locked, and we were told to use the drive thru. Imagine me and the boy riding our bikes in the drive through. Well ... at least the boy found it funny.

I ordered a chocolate doughnut for the boy, and a boston cream for myself. The boy didn't complain about the chocolate, but the boston tasted like it was 3 days old. It was horrible !!

Do any of you guy's remember when that was a Jack in the Box??

They might have started with the locking of the doors after being robbed at gunpoint several months(maybe longer) ago. Bring back JACK IN THE BOX!!!!!(maybe a Sonic too)

Is this the one just past Linden? If so, yes, they do have great service there. That location I will tip.

The one near me on Front Street (Mostly Americans) has the pretty bad service. I only get iced lattes (I think their coffee sucks) how hard is it to remember large iced latte with sugar? And I wasn't even in the driver thru!
