I assume it's still planned but as far as the progress is another story(like most things Tacony). A gentleman I know lived on the SW corner of Hegerman and Cottman and was losing his house over it, he relocated about 6 mos ago or so. He didn't have a firm date as to when he had to be out by but he couldn't chance waiting around to get a concrete answer from them.

Last we heard is that the preliminary work was to start this Summer. I'll try to find out more tonight at the meeting. However, we all know that things like this are a slow process and delays are expected.
Below is a link to the plan that was chosen for the new ramp. http://www.95revive.com/cpr_desopt1.cfm As for the Tacony person who is moving to Florida...yes he is retiring and heading South. However his son is purchasing his house and will remain in the neighborhood. His departure won't negatively affect any plans. I'm sure he'll still be here for any important developments. |

According to Penndot the preliminary work should begin at the end of 2008. That's pretty much all that Penndot had to offer. I did not speak to the Penndot rep but am also curious as to the phases of the project.
They also said that they had come to an agreement with the city and state as far as the relocation of the firehouse and who would be paying for it. So at least that is still in the works. There will be a lag time between when the fire house on Longshore is demolished and the new one is built (will take 8 to 9 months to build) but other neighborhood fire houses will cover Tacony until then. Hopefully we won't have any major fires during that time period. |

i was trying to run a business and post at the same time. thats what i get for trying to multi-task
i meant to say "rental" license which you get after the BPL both of which i have. its my understanding that the housing rental license is one license which you can tack on other properties to with a small fee. no? i currently have a duplex in the tacony/mayfair section..... what i was trying to get at was the details on this "petition" i keep hearing about Quote:
