Question Lincoln's Playground

Has anyone noticed the deterioration on the padding that our children play on at Lincoln's Playground? Is anyone interested in helping us, have the proper repairs completed, so our children can have a safe place to play at? Please contact me if you are interested.

Hey Ken, even though my kids are really too big for that playground, I will be happy to try to help out...I have always loved that spot and hated that the teenagers ripped it up...there should be a high locked fence on it at night!

That was the dumbest place in the world for a playground. Right next to a HIGHSCHOOL? I'm all for trying to fix it up and everything because I have 3 young kids of my own but it'll only keep getting defaced as long as the kids from Lincoln show a complete lack of respect for ANYTHING in general. If they are going to fix it up they should errect a very very tall fence, not chain link so kids can climb it, and lock it at dusk and open it when they open Pennypack park in the morning.

Oh, no, my voted for dumbest playground location is the one next to Baldi on Verree Rd. It is completely trashed my the middle school kids, and is a huge drinking spot for older kids. Take a look at the tennis court there, it's completely covered in shattered glass bottles. Disgusting.

Yeah I went to Baldi back in the day. That is a pretty bad playground you're right. I don't know why the city puts playgrounds in/near middle schools and high schools. They are only going to get trashed by the older kids who think its "cool" to do it.

I'm willing to help, that was my favorite playground when my kids were younger. I liked it because there were no swings. I've seen to many toddlers walk behind someone on the swings and get wiped out. My kids thought it was lame, but I thought it was safe. With the new school and all the construction, does anyone know if something is planned for that spot?

I think it is a prime spot for a playground..walkers walking by at all times, I see moms walking their kids and thats the end of the line they play and go home for naptime!!!

I dont think its the Lincoln kids doing it.....anytime I see kids there its kids from this neighborhood all schools all backgrounds....with nothing better to do...it should be locked up at night, plain and simple and if cops see kids in there they should get dragged home to their parents with a nice ticket for loitering. There isnt a playground around that doesnt get ruined because of teens hanging out.

I was thinking isnt the rest of the playground in pretty bad shape? I found more wrong with the broken slides and glass not to mention cigarrete butts all over the place and trash.

I'll help clean it up. I have fond memories of my kids playing there when they were younger. Let me know if you have a date in mind. Saturday mornings do not work for me as my son has track meets. Any other day of the week, including Saturday afternoons work.
