There was absolutely nothing wrong with the playground to begin with. Please, don't do us any more favors

Ken, was it you or your group that put the playground on the docket for that last meeting that I took the picture of?

Don't let anyone bum you out. You were just trying to help. No biggie, and DEFINATELY not your fault.

On another note ...

I rode by there this morning. The backhoe is gone, the mats have been totally ripped up and placed in the dumpster which is still there.

Mayfairchick - did you call the Mayfair Civic Association?
I personally scheduled the meeting for the civic association and planned the agenda. The Civic Association has an open forum policy where anyone can come and speak about issues that arise in the neighborhood. The basic idea was to see what was going on and to see if anyone was interested in helping out. There was no agenda nor did the civic make any decision regarding the playground (we have no authority to do that).
That being said, the meeting notice we printed out was on white paper and dropped in the doors of several blocks south of Cottman Ave. We did not post this notice anywhere. Anyhow, our next Civic Meeting will be the last Tuesday of the month rather than Monday (Memorial Day) at the John Perzel Community Center (St Vincent and Battersby) immediately following the PDAC meeting and Captain's roundtable, approx 8:30PM

Hey Joe, first of all I'd like to Thank You for stopping by here and filling us in. I'd also like to offer a suggestion.

Could you possibly post the topics of the meeting HERE before the meeting so that they can be discussed?

Unfortunately I can't make the meeting because of my work, however I'm VERY much interrested in the goings on in Mayfair. In this day and age with the internet available 24-7, I'd think it would be an EXCELLENT place to get some feedback.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Well, for those interrested, the dumpster containing the contents of the playground is now gone. I went there this morning and it was gone. The fence was repaired where the backhoe went through, and now there is just the tables and benches left behind on a gravel lot.

Sad ...
