What I don't get then is why it was even brought up at a meeting if there wasn't anything that the Civic could do? Why bother if it was left entirely up to the school district anyway? Seems stupid to me.

It was brought up at the meeting I think to drum up support find interested individuals to help etc...The Civic and the Mayfair CDC are two different entities... I AM* surprised the Mayfair CDC couldnt be of help.

There is no chance in hell of you guys getting that playground back. This is really a shame. Guess people will have to find another playground to go to now. Ken must be depressed. She hasn't said a word on here since people got mad at her.

I am hoping since this is an issue many people could benefit from maybe we can do this it was done before it can be done again. This time though every little thing should be convered on an agree ment such as an ongoign escrow account to maintain the facility,

Default On going talks for repairs

We are not going to comment to those ignorant individuals, but this is to those who care about our children and giving them a safe place to play at. We have been in contact with many individuals to find out how we can properly have this facility replaced. We had no idea by asking for repairs made to a playground would cause such a fiasco.

Here is the latest. Council personnel will contact the School District to see if private fundraising will be entertained, we need to make sure they are onboard with this idea. The few individuals who care about our future for our children will be contacted to see if they are willing to do the next steps to replace and continue to maintain Lincoln's Tot Lot for our future.

If you are interested in helping, please send us an email with your name and number to ken92min@comcast.net

It was probably those "evil" pranksters from St. Matts who damaged the playground in the first place. After all, no kid from a "private" school would do that

Some people know what/who I'm talking about

Oh please, there is no one individual or individuals who damaged the playground. Wear and tear caused the problems. This is why there should be in place a fund to maintain the facility for future use. Lets focus on getting this replaced and stop the trash talking!

Steel monkey bars and metal slides. Hard on the head and hot as hell in the summer but low maintenance. What's up with all this plastic and rubber sh*t anyway?

Maybe I missed this part:

Who has been maintaining and cleaning the playground all these years? I thought I read it was the Rec. Dept. No?

Which councilpeople did you speak with?

Did they offer to contribute funds?
