I caught two graffiti vandals in the act on my way home from work this two days ago around 4:35 PM near the 6600 block of Oxford Avenue near the Acme supermarket. They were making their way up Oxford Avenue and then turned down Unruh Street hitting many surfaces along the way, including the mailbox at the southeastern corner of Unruh and Oxford, the traffic control box at the northeastern corner of Unruh and Oxford, and a home on the northern side of Fanshawe one quarter block from Oxford. I had caught the a black male with a young white male companion defacing a black plastic planter shaped like an old-fashioned iron cauldron with the tag "SEP." The materials used appeared to be black magic marker and pink, black, and white marking pen similar to what car dealers use to mark windshields, (could be shoe polish too). They were last seen hiding between houses on the northern side of Unruh heading toward Whitaker Avenue.
Their descriptions are as follows:
Black male, approximately 12-13 yrs. old, medium complexion, medium build, wearing blue hooded sweatshirt.
Tag = SEP.
White male, approximately 8-9 yrs. old, dirty blond hair, slight build, wearing red hooded sweatshirt.
Tag = CMP
I don't live in this neighborhood and I don't know what police district you contact. Does anybody know these young hooligans? It breaks my heart to see such young ones go bad.
