informal notes from 7/26:
1. The members of Town Watch were presented with their certificates and ID badges.
Volunteers are welcome to help maintain an active Town Watch program. The Town Watch operates Friday and Saturday nights 10-12 and 12-2.
2. Conversation about two development projects by the Frankford Torresdale Country Club. First, the sale of 20+ acres behind Mitchell Park and the creation of an access road between John Hancock Demo School and Mitchell Park. Second, The sale and development of Country Club property which has been zones R2 and R3 for the creation of duplex's and an access road off of Whitehall Lane/Chesterfield Road. Bob Barrilli from Councilman O'Neill's office spoke about the gossip, rumor and speculation, basically stated there has been no confirmation of development of either project, but since we are the eyes and ears of the community if we do see anything, we should contact O'Neill's office immediately 215/686-3422
3. 50/50 tickets were sold and Mr. Barrilli had the winning ticket, he donated the winnings back to the Civic Association.
Lauren Fritsky from the Northeast Times was in attendence, so I expect to see at least a little write-up next week.
