I doubt that any private contractor would install speed cameras before they were authorized to do so. That being said, I did drive through that intersection of Friday and saw people working in the Northbound median on something that looked very different from the red light cameras.
I would think that the legislation for it is not need at this time because it is in testing and yes it is a speed camera pull over and get out your car and they will tell you like they told me. Legislation is only needed when and if they go into effect. If I was the private contractor i would put one up to show the politicians how many people there are speeding and why you need my so called company to install more of them to slow people down. They need to put them up on 95 everyone up there speeds the limit is 55 and just to stay with traffic you have to do 70.

Default Boulevard havoc and cameras

In my country we are lucky our light systems work and signs are not always under construction, but speed cameras? The people in our country want to get from one place to another without rules and regulations. Still going up and down the boulevard, I can't help thinking the engineers can't do a better job timing the lights to keep the traffic moving. If we are worried about cleaner energy and saving energy, why can't the engineers do a better job of keeping the boulevard moving?
In the Philippines we would have gone on to greater travel while people here were still waiting for traffic lights to change.- Why don't more people complain?
