Hi! The folks at 1303 Arrott Street are again running a flea market, which is hideous. Please try to stop this. Thanks. Cliff Gabrellas

It looked smallish, but they did have a sign up that said "Sat.&Sun". I didn't have time to stop for details, but maybe it will be a steady thing. If someone else can stop by, please update here.
This flea looked better today (sat.) with a lot more tables going. The first few weeks the sellers were getting a little discouraged with the smal turnouts, so I heard. I told some of the vendors that it has been mentioned online, so if you go, let them know where you heard about it. Hopefully if will keep growing and become a permanant thing.

Default Neshaminy Market?

I guess thats what its called...behind the Trevose Fire house on street road....I went there sunday morning with my mom and fiancee and we made out pretty well. My fiancee collects teapots and found a few nice pieces....I will be going back there again! This is the old market that used to be at the Philadelphia Racetrack.....I highly suggest it!

How was the parking? Last time there we had to park pretty far back behind the other buildings, and that was after waiting for someone to walk from the flea so we could follow them...
I got some good deals on stuff I wasn't even looking for (they're the best kind of deals, right?).

We parked in front of the Express Scripts building which is right next to the hotel...then again we were there before 8am Parking was a scare commodity when we left though so I highly suggest people get there early...I think they start at 6am.

I came home with a few cast iron frying pans that I will use for camping....these babies arent cheap and I walked away with 3 for 3$. Its a nice flea market IMO and I highly suggest it for anyone who hasnt been there before.

It's a shame the way it's being run, they need help and maybe aren't aware they do. I went the 1st day they were there some 4-5 weeeks back to check it out. I was very hopeful because it's right in the area. Then went back for the next 3 weeks as a vendor, which is where my bubble burst.

I was trying, as most vendors there are, to stick it out, but it was just too much. I hope that things do turn around, I'd love to see it become permenent and successful, but permanant in the state it's in is just merciless.

ALSO, and this was very big with me, there seems to be 2 guys running it, Joe and this other guy. Not sure what the other guy does, but he is decidedly rude. Just no reason for that type of behavior, especially in that atmosphere.

I agree. This is a decent flea market. Also good there is that one of the vendors sells razors for about $5. The Gillette Mach 3 is usually close to double that in the store.

Default Ashton Road

Stopped in at the Ashton Road Flea this morning and it is growing! There were way more vendors than the last time I was there, and they now have a hot dog cart selling food and drinks. There were a couple of tables selling plants and flowers. The manager told me they now have the use of the grass parking area in the back. I noticed a sign up at Grant and Academy advertising the market. By the way, I did find a couple of things I was looking for today .
