After reading some of the posts in this thread, I decided to do the BRT look up thing on a home on the street where I previously lived. Sure enough it's owned by an investor in NYC.

Police would come to that house weekly with who knows what kind of low lifes and leave them with the tenants. At one point there were about 10 individuals residing there. None worked and there were parties at all hours of the night during the weekday.

My best guess is it was some kind of halfway house for petty criminals or worse.

One of the many reasons I moved and am glad I did.

Default It's all about the money and city for RENT

The city only cares about the $ for the license, but then does not Equip L&I to police it. I just do not understand if the city says Renting homes is a business, why they can not limit the amount of Business in a residential neighborhood, like they do for store front etc. I would ask EVERYONE on this block that cares about Rental housing to call their city council person and start to lobby. We have to do something. I am still trying to find a lawyer that will help me SUE, landlords that do not effectively deal with problem tennants.
