Default Wedding guests at City Hall

You are allowed an indeterminate number of guests. But use common sense, you'll be sharing a small Courtroom with 7-8 other couples AND their guests. There really isn't room for too many guests.

Default City Hall Marriages

The room at City Hall for marriages can comfortably accomodate 20 people. The judge marries the couples individually, not as a group, so your witnesses will be the only ones there for your ceremony.

The fee for a marriage license at City Hall is now $80. You can also schedule to married at City Hall however there is a long wait and the dates fill up quickly. You can choose to use Yerkes Wedding Salon, there fee is $95 for the ceremony.

Default Different Question...

I was on the Orphans Court site checking out what you need to get a marriage license, it says an original Social Security card. I got mine stolen a couple years back along with my purse, do I really have to go wait in line for hours at the Social Security office to get a new card? Or is there anyway of getting around that?

Going to the Social Security office for a new card isn't as much of a horiffic experience as you think.

There's an office right off of Welsh and the Blvd. In the back where the movies used to be.

I didn't try calling, just saw it on the site and thought I might get a faster answer here.

I guess I will attempt to go to the SSN office at Welsh and the BLVD.

I am also going to call and see if it is desperate I need a SSN card.

Thanks for the feedback!

While a SS card is preferred, you can get away without one if you have other documentation of your name an SS number, i.e. W-2 form or tax return.
