Default Simple but good haircut for a 17 year old guy?

Hey there, I moved in to NE philly (and to the US :P) almost 2 years ago and haven't gotten a haircut since I've been here, I figure since the school year just started up there's probably gonna be alot of jobs opening up so I gotta get myself looking civilized again, needing money and all like anyone would. I don't want any fancy emo haircut or anything (I'm sure you know what I mean), but I don't want it looking entirely unprofessional either, just something short and normal, any ideas?

Thanks,
-Brut.

I always think that a short, simple haircut looks best on men. Anything too funky looks ridiculous, like you're trying too hard. Let your clothing speak your true style, and your basic haircut will compliment whatever look you are going for. You can always change the look with products.

If you have relatively straight hair, I suggest you get a #4 clipper up to almost the top, and then get a textured scissor cut on top.

I'm a student stylist at Jean Madeline on 3rd/Bainbridge. I'd be happy to cut your hair for you. Make an appt. for Tues, Fri, or Saturday and ask for Erin.

You, um, haven't cut your hair in TWO years? You must look like Moses after wandering in the desert for 40 years. I start to look shaggy after like 6 weeks. Please, do everyone a favor and go visit Erin.

Haircut Place

Morell Ave at Frankford Ave.

The two guys in the back cut around 50% of the hair in the NE apparently.

It's around $13.

Continental Hairstyling in the Cottman/Bustleton shopping center (between Party City and SuperFresh). Ask for Mario.

Thumbs up Good Going

Welcome, Brut. Welcome to the Northeast.

I'm glad you got some good tips. Cammy's rocking it with the know how.

Otherwise I'd have steered you to one of the older gents who give the semi-Mayfair mullett. You'll know it when ya see it. It involves wings is all I can say.

Don't be a stranger we have a great hood.

I use Salon Fredricks on Oxford Ave, just past Kerper.

Ask for Lauren...she does a great job.
