Default Good Bakery in the N.E. ??

My mom's bday was this week and I need to find a really good bakery to get her a cake for this weekend. I normally go to Isgro's in S. Philly but I have a toddler and a newborn now so running around town like I used to is out of the question. Please recommend a great bakery for me. I used Rilling's a few times up here and was not impressed.
TIA!!

I'll definitely second that.

What do people get from the Danish Bakers that's so good? I've tried it a few times and haven't been impressed. I've had a hard time finding a good bakery in the NE too, so I'm interested in the opinions.

Not the NE, but we've gotten cakes from Weinrich's in Willow Grove and they've been pretty good.

How about Stocks on Lehigh. Not quite the NE but easy to get to and, depending where you're starting, likely just as close as Danish Bakery and worth the trip. Almost always have b-day cakes in stock and will personalize while you wait. Plus, no Rhawn St. traffic which can be wild.

Love Isgro's, but locally for birthday cakes I get the pound cakes at Geiger's on Frankford Ave. They usually go over well.
