Since you seem to know so much Indy, please explain this to me:

Why hasn't Curran's Irish Pub, which has a Mike McGeehan sign hanging from a fire exit, not been "Clipped?" Why haven't they been "clipped" for putting their dumpsters on a city street?

Could it be that McGeehan's campaign pumps thousands of dollars in "catering" to Curran's? Could it be that CLIP is headed by Tom Conway, who just so happens to be the President of MARC, that Mike McGeehan secures taxpayer's dollars for, that did improvements at the Curran's? (Which, if someone could explain how that is a major artery and Robbins, Levick and Deverauex are not.)

Or could it be that someone on his staff is related to Local FF Union official?

Or could it be that said person openly dislikes the State Representative?

You seem to have a pulse of the situation - please enlighten us.

First, I don't think talking about on someone's business practices is a personal attack. I mean, cammycap might be a real nice person but I've never met them.

If someone wants to use this blog to promote their business and talk about trash in the streets - they should be prepared for a negative response if they are contributing to it with their business.

That's right I forgot, unless you are a Republican talking about a Democrat it's not okay on this blog.

As for Curran's Bar, I'll have to check out the dumpsters for myself but what do I care what signs they put up on their property? That doesn't contribute to the litter on public streets. Are you going to rip down all the Baldwin, or just McGeehan signs on peoples' lawns/houses?

Meanwhile, what do I care about McGeehan or MARC? I've never voted for the guy. Nor did I bring them up, ever.

I don't know if State Road and Longshore Avenue is a "major artery" or not. I know the Tacony Civic calls Torresdale and Longshore Ave the center of Tacony. If it's not a "major artery", it will be in a few years when the new I-95 ramp gets built there.

Why didn't you go after the Tacony History Mural that's on Longshore and Tulip?

And I don't know about Deveraurex, but I do like the Flyers Mural on Levick. As well as the paint job on the I-95 overpass on Levick at the Tacony Palmyra Bridge. Not to mention the flower bed leading to the bridge from Robbins, but I guess that's Keystone Street not Robbins. Either way, it still looks nice.

First of all my bar is not a nuisance it's a nice place to come and relax and hang out, CLIP cites everyone, I know alot of business owners who are active in the community and have recieved fines. I have asked my husband to not use signs and take them down, he is his own person I can not make him do anything.

ANd to be honest, since I know how it feels to be cited, I can relate to both SIDES! And be open to hear all solutions, so sorry INDY I really could careless about your personal attacks

To be honest, I figured it was only a matter of time when the Democrats started on me, since I am not a JOB HOLDER, and RECEIVE NO MONEY from MARC< CLIP VIA CONTRACTS, I HAVE NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST IN PROMOTING AND RAISING THE ROOF TO KEEP MY NEIGHORBOOD NICE. The fact that I own a BAR, should not be an issue and people should be happy that a responsible community oriented persons does so it won't be a nuisance, there are other bar owners, in Tacony that also are very involved in the community - on one is saying they have a conflict??? And my husband also said that he was only warned never cited by CLIP.

I am raising hell because I have senior citizens afraid to come out of their house, I am afraid walking down torresdale ave @ 9 o'clock at night? I see the people who moved here 10 years ago because it was a nice neighborhood and pain in their eyes because their neighbors are partying all night long and threathening them. So keep it coming Democrats, You don't scare me I am not going away.

I'm a former Republican, who's now an Independent. Although, I did switch to Democrat once so I could vote against John Street in the Democratic Primary. In fact, that's the only time in recent memory that I voted Democrat.

And perhaps you're right Scoats, maybe I should have said "mention" instead of "promote." I'll try to be more politically correct in the future. My mistake.

Gee whiz! A few flower pots and a couple of murals on railway bridges sure do help improve the quality of life in Tacony!

Whoop de do! You want to improve the quality of life in Tacony? Stop the section 8 invasion! Close down the drug houses! Stop crushing small businesses with crippling taxes! Make sure the criminals are locked up and shipped out of the neighborhood!

McGeehan has been in the House for 16 years! You would think he would have used that time to grab some clout! Instead, he just sits on his backside in the House chamber and collects his pay! He is an empty suit!

This Baldwin fellow seems to be a decent guy. At least he will listen to your complaints! I sure will be supporting this guy! He has to be better than the racist, punchdrunk McGeehan!
