Angry Supermarket etiquette

I dont know about you but I despise going to the supermarket anymore...and today was no exception.

I have nothing against people bringing children with them....but dont drag 6 of them with you....its bad enough people stand there staring at the canned fruit wondering what brand they should buy.

Also if your coming from another store, in this case K-mart, dont bring what you purchased in that store into the supermarket...if you cant even manage the 4 bags of junk you bought there how are you going to manage the food?

Oh and if you see somone coming down the lane towards you, kindly move aside...dont just stand there with the "dawn of the dead" look on your face...its just not right.

If anyone can guess what market I was at you get a shiney new penny.

If you think my dilly-dallying in the peach section was irritating, you should see me in the frozen section. I'm the one who opens all the doors and fogs up everything, so you can't see in.

If you didn't mention K-Mart, I would have guessed Shop-Rite.
But Pathmark must be the place.

Default etiquette

well yesterday we went to the Target near Red Loin road.. wanted to get bike helmets and a few things.. I rarely go to Target, but hubby wanted to try it.(we ended up bying better helmets for less at Pep Boys) ..

Anyway , while shopping I took a cart in case we wanted some bigger items . Well every isle there were 2 carts next to each other neither of them moving.. I said " excuse me" and no one moved.. I said it louder, still the same dead look in thier faces.. Then one started to talk in a foreign language I didn't recognize.. I know french and Spanish, and can tell if it was Russian, but this was a stummper.. Finally i had to pyhsically go and move their cart to get by.... I was not a happy camper. Then 1 asle later there was a cart sideways blocking the full isle.. who puts their cart sideways?? well the blank stare, and person ignoring me...I said to hubby----lets go this place is terrible and the people in here today all are morons.
We finally left and had to get thru several mazes of carts and families to find the exit.. At the exit there was a family (husband and wife) fighting in Hindi language...

I was so glad to go to Pep Boys and be able to walk thru the store at a normal pace without a circus..

One thing I notice about the two Acmes I've been to here is that about 75% of the time I have to bag my own groceries. There's usually three checkers and one bag boy (sometimes no bag boy.)

My only reward for bagging my own groceries is the perfunctory "thanks hon."

Also, and most annoying of all is they don't sell sourdough bread. I've said this before but I don't understand why you people don't have sourdough bread, its the best bread there is. Its extremely versatile, can be used in a sandwich or alone, buttered or with peach jam. Its all I ate as a kid and the most common bread in all the grocery stores with a large variety of brands.

I went to Whole Foods to get it and none was made...

So you drove out to Jenkintown (sp) for sourdough bread?

I know I was spoiled when I lived in San Diego....the IN-N-OUT burgers, Carls Jr, Jack in the Box....etc....and the fact that you could buy alcohol at the supermarkets....ohhhhhh do I miss that the most!!!
