First of all, who are these people that pay by check??? I understand not everyone uses credit cards and alot of people have to pay for groceries with the money they have in the bank.....but come on. EVERY bank issues check cards. USE IT and stop wasting my time!

Second of all, if you are going to pay by check, PLEASE start filling it out BEFORE the clerk is done ringing you up. You know, write in the date, pay to the order of Superfresh, write 'groceries' in the memo, and sign the check. You can fill out the amount when you are done. Better yet, do it at home!
That don't bother me so much, but I know people from the older generations HATE that. They deal with MONEY. CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad was a very patient man. Showed no emotion. Never raised his voice. He'd be in the EXPRESS line, and some young professional would get that check book out, and now that he'd say something. I understand your frustration on that one.

Don't forget the WIC checks. EVERYBODY has to wait because the person with the WIC form or whatever it is does not purchase the noted item allowed. I was in back of a person once who had the wrong size cereals, and the wrong cheese, and damn Juicy Juice.

Well, did we ALL not have to wait until the cashier went on to explain what was what and why they couldn't have it. Suddenly, and miraculously the non English speaking person could say in English "I WANT JUICY JUICE".

Then a bagger from another cash register gets pulled off their line to accompany the WIC person to get the correct items. The cashier can't void it for Lord knows what reason so we ALL have to wait.

That's a big pet peeve. I don't mind people getting help to eat for their children, but don't make me wait because you will take only JUICY JUICE. Honey, cut back like the rest of us, and be thankful ya got these voucher checks.

Argh! I'm also one who hates people who use checks.

A few weeks ago, we were at the checkout. The woman waits until the end to start DIGGING for her checkbook. She then takes forever to fill it out. THEN I look down and she bought 30 pumpkin sippy cups that she wanted rung up SEPARATELY and yes, she was going to pay for that with a check too. Well, the check button on the register started to act up, in which she says "oh, I have CASH if it doesn't work." She turned to be smiling, and said "OOps! I guess you got in the wrong line." I went "yeah, no s**t"

Last week I ran in to get lunch meat, and the woman behind me had two half gallons of EDY ice cream, a bottle of fluff, and she had her checkbook in her hand. Thank God she was behind me

my gripe is when you go in the store and its already mobed at opening... and to top it off there is always one family with the kids and cousin's ect... they act like they are the only ones in the store. And for some reason they seem to be in every isle your in, they act like they are in the daze and dont see you or anyone... grrrr. I had this happen to me Saturdy at Pathmark aramingo ave.

No courtesy whatsoever, they just acted like everyone should clear a path cause there in the store.

wake up.!!
